An entryway into the universe created. It was drawn from memory of a flat I used to live as a child, and was the start of a new beginning for me when I first entered it, therefore thought it was the best place to begin this story.

THE MAD HOUSE
The ‘Mad House’ was created during a self-initiated 3rd year project named ‘Authorship’, based on defining who you are and want to be as an illustrator.
The brief I came up with, relied on collecting family folklore and treating and responding to this collection it in the same way as I would with fairytales and folklore in the public sphere. From here I created 3 rooms that are a mish-mash combination of all the homes, rooms and spaces that have defined me as a person, filled in every corner with numerous stories, personal anecdotes and family proverbs.
‘The Mad House’ is made up of 3 hand drawn 360 panorama rooms: the hallway, the kitchen and the garden, based personal experiences around family and identity being intrinsically linked.
